I saw this on Saltbox Stitcher and I’m pretty sure it was Episode 62.
The title is Sampler Stitching: Notebook for Keeping Track of My Sampler Stitching & Other Historic Needlework Projects. Whew . . long name but that says it all. Here’s the blurb from Amazon and it pretty much says everything I would say too:
Sampler Stitching notebook serves as a written record of the needlework samplers that are current works in progress or WIPS. This notebook allows needleworkers to keep track of their current projects. The theme of this notebook is for cross stitch samplers and other historic needlework projects. This includes adaptation samplers and reproduction samplers. The notebook allows needleworkers keep track of 80 projects:1. Title of the work and the date it was acquired.2. Design size, number of stitches, and final project dimensions.3. Space to document the floss, thread, and specialty fibers needed for each project.4. The fabric information 5. Note any specialty stitches and the theme of the work.6. Area to attach a 4 x 6 photo of the sampler. The remaining twenty pages includes blank lined needleworker notebook pages.
It also has at the bottom of each project page “When I die, I bequeath this sampler to .. “.
This really has everything I would want to write.
I was thinking about the “bequeathing” part and most of what I stitch isn’t meant for anyone in particular. Chad. Nicole. Addie. Who else? But there could be something I would want to leave to a friend or the friend’s son or daughter. If I had a friend’s son in southwest Louisiana that I was leaving something to . . Chad wouldn’t bother to track him down, pack it up and send it so unless it’s something that REALLY is meant for someone, I doubt I write much in that space. I can always go back and fill that in later.
For $9.99, I think it’s an amazing buy.

I have to report to you that I went to the thrift store here in Elgin. On the check out desk they keep a basket with floss in it. 31 skeins of floss for 25 cents each. I will put them into my stash. Now I am off the Hobby Lobby to look for the lap desk. Also three colors of floss for my current project that I do not have. Actually 4 colors because I need a varigated one to do a heart with. What I have just does not appeal. My daughter likes a garnet one but it is not shadded. Hum

Maybe you could use the “bequeath” section for your notes, like the one was my Sunday stitch. Or I started this one on Chad’s birthday because… or I did this as a stitchalong with X
