I’ve already thought of things I needed to bring down.
Tomorrow I have a doctor’s appointment. I had three decent shirts and two sweaters and I forgot to bring those. I’m not even sure I have any T-shirts down there that don’t have holes in them. OK . . I’ve found a sweater I knitted. In fact, almost all my knitted sweaters are downstairs so that solves the problem with a shirt/top to wear.
Also, I didn’t bring a jacket or a sweater. I wish I had a sweatshirt or something because it’s a bit chilly in the basement. Today I opened the windows downstairs to let some fresh air in and burrrr . . it was cold. I was wearing a short sleeved T-shirt and no sweater or sweatshirt. I have my big coat for walking Rita but I can’t cross stitch with that. Furry, soft bath robe to the rescue. I’m sure my neighbors wonder why I’m outside with jeans and a bath robe but on the other hand, my neighbors have probably given up trying to make sense out of what they see over here.
Rita’s probiotics. I meant to get them and kept thinking I’d make a list of spices I need besides salt and pepper. Rita’s probiotics are in the cabinet with the spices. Never got spices or probiotics.
Around lunch time, I was pretty frustrated. The water leak, Rita isn’t comfortable because she doesn’t understand why we’re in a strange place and I feel bad for her. Boots can’t understand why he’s stuck in the sewing room. He’s so darned fast (for a fat cat!). Every time I go in the sewing room for something . . and it’s happened more than you think it should . . I’m so afraid he’s going to dash out and be on those floors before I can stop him and you know he wouldn’t come if I call him so he’d probably stay up there for the duration.
So . . Vince said “what’s for lunch today?” I said “Fried Rice”. I can go start cooking it. I had already cooked the rice. Had chopped ham, bacon, eggs, green onions, carrots, peas . . we throw everything in our fried rice. Vince said “I was thinking I might go get a pizza.” That means . . Vince wanted to go to Walmart or the flea market which are near the pizza place. I said fine so he went to Walmart, picked up the pizza and if I had to guess, I’d say we’ll grab lunch separately tomorrow because Vince has a dentist appointment and I have to go have bloodwork done.
SInce there were just a few dishes, I washed them in the bathroom sink.
It isn’t bad. I’m not complaining . . really . . it’s all kinda funny.
Vince and I were sitting in the family room this afternoon and he said “You know . . if we go to an old folks’ home, this is probably all the room we’re going to have . . what’s right here in this room.” I said “What about all my yarn?” We both laughed so things are good!

-That sounds better than the wet start. I was remembering “somebody” had a story about draining with a soaker hose. Glad you mentioned it.
I don’t know how washing dishes in a sink without a strainer or disposal would work. My bathroom sinks get slow enough with what they do get!
It sounds like there isn’t room for Addie to visit for the duration. Maybe you can visit them if you start missing her too much (or need a little more space).

The sofa in the downstairs family room makes into a bed so we’d make room for her if she has time to come but for a 9 year old, she surely has a busy schedule.

We’re on a septic tank so we don’t use the garbage disposal. I have a little scraper and scrape all the residue into the trash . . it’s the same whether I’m in the kitchen or in the bathroom. 🙂
