This morning I started stitching Alphabet en Blanc on the red fabric.
I don’t know if it’s that I’m not used to stitching on red fabric or if I just don’t like the fabric but the stitches don’t seem to have definition. I feel like I’m stitching on gauze. I didn’t go into this project in love with it, though I do want to stitch Alphabet en Blanc. For now, I’m going to leave it and start a different project. I may come back to it . . or I may not.
The new choice is A-B-C-D by La-D-Da.
The chart calls for NPI Silk, color 998. I have NPI Silk but I have color 993, which looks black to me. This will be my first time using NPI Silk.
The fabric is 36 count Relic by Picture This Plus.

I agree with the delay in stitching. Everything you are doing is on lighter fabric so to have one in red may overtake the wall of samplers, where ever the grouping is located. The red fabric may work if you are doing a pillow or using it as the back of a pillow with stitched info.
Re your rug/chair discussion – have you considered a recliner like you have in your living room? Think of your comfort while you are sitting there. You might be using the chair while Addie is working on the table.

I don’t want a recliner in there. Even though the one in the sewing room is smaller, it still has a look I don’t want in there.
