Most of the trim I’ve purchased for the little pillows and other items I’ve cross stitched and finished without framing came from Etsy sellers. In her flosstubes, Sheri from Colorado Cross Stitcher, has mentioned that they have trim so I checked it out last week because I was needing a mossy shade of green.
Colorado Cross Stitcher has this collection of chenille trim. It’s a great price because individually, I’d be paying less for these individual packets, as well as getting more yardage, than what I’ve been buying on Etsy. When you buy the kit, you’re paying for 17 colors and getting black, snow and vanilla free. What a deal, huh?
Another good thing about having the trim here at the house is that when I start a project and I know I want to use mossy green trim, if the trim is already here, I can match the floss to the trim and not try to mail order trim to match what I’ve already stitched.
I think it’s a good investment and, before you ask, this didn’t count on my “no buy” because I needed this and it isn’t something I already have too much of here.

Yes even your Accountability Officer agrees – stuff needed for finishing does not count as “no buy” items. I may have to check out that package – maybe having all that trim will entice me to start working on all the smalls I have stitched awaiting finishing. I did recently order some sawdust to try to see if I like it better than other stuffing materials.

Let me know what you think about the sawdust.
