Be My Valentine Started

Last night I started Be My Valentine from Colorado Cross Stitcher.

Such a simple little border (though a bit blurry in the photo) but I was still holding my breath til I stitched all the way around and it met up. There was no place to fudge it if it didn’t meet but it did so that was good.

It’s a 32 count mystery linen. I wasn’t sure what count it was – 30 or 32 I figured. I stitched it, then measured the stitching and kinda the backwards way to calculate. On 32 count, it’s going to be 3-1/2″ square. With a bit of a border, it will be a border, it should 4-12″ to 5″ square when it’s finished.

I wanted to at least get the border done. Next I’ll stitch the heart, then the letters but that project is for 2023 so now I’m going to the mystery kit so I can get that one done for Vince for Valentine’s Day.
