New Starts, New Starts, New Starts!

They’re all fairly small so I should get at least one, maybe two done before Valentine’s Day

The first one and probably the first one I’ll start because it should be super quick is Be My Valentine, which is a free chart from Colorado Cross Stitcher.

These are the flosses I will use for this one. All three are Victorian Motto floss.

The second one but probably not the second one I’ll start is Love Makes Me Happy, which is a free chart offered by Crocette A GoGo’. It can be found in various Facebook groups or on their blog.

I’m going to change the truck color to the color of Chad’s old truck and next year this, along with the Be My Valentine project will be given to Addie for additions to her Valentine’s decorations. That’s why I’m using the same teal/aqua shades in both.

Finally, the one I hope to finish ASAP so I can put this on Vince’s pillow and surprise him, will be the Kitten Stitcher mystery chart. These are the flosses I will use.

Those are all Victorian Motto flosses. I need to do a better job of making sure the tags are facing up so the colors will be shown!

Keeping this a secret may be harder than most things I stitch. He rarely asks what I’m working on. I think I’ll keep Be My Valentine handy and if he asks, I’ll show him that. We’re going to be living in the basement, beginning Monday, for a week or two or three. We won’t be able to put rugs back on the wood floor and that means Rita’s little setup can be re-established til the finish has completely cured so . . we all live in the basement. I will be able to come up and cook (I hope) but we won’t be putting the tables back on the floors til we can put the rugs back down. So long as it’s not too cold, we can eat out in the sun room. We will look at it as an adventure .. not a hardship!

The hardship will be the cat. There’s no way to close off the downstairs family room so he can’t escape and come upstairs so he’s going to have to stay in the sewing room and, knowing we’re just on the other side of the door, he is not going to be happy. I’ll probably stay in there with him mostly. That’s what I’ll do. I have my stitching chair in there that’s more comfortable than the setup in the family room. That way, Vince won’t be so likely to ask what I’m working on; Boots will be happy I’m in there with him . . great idea I had! 🙂
