It surely is exciting when a package arrives, since it isn’t happening much these days.
You may remember that I decided to continue with my XJu subscription for one-half yard of her linen each month. I do love her linens.
The January, 2022 selection arrived today.
These monthly subscription linens don’t have names but this one is kind of a milk chocolate, with a bit more milk than normal, brown with some mottling running through it. Such a perfect sampler piece!
When I got the September, 2021 linen in, I was so in love with it. I’m using that for “For the Love of Nature” by Teresa Kogut.
I still have more stitching to do on the border but wanted to get around and make sure it was going to meet up. But . . isn’t it just gorgeous??
Anyway, I loved the September piece when it arrived but the more I stitched on it, the more I loved it. We’ll have to see it with the stitching all done and pressed to realize how truly gorgeous this piece is. I thought about this piece all through October and decided I will get a piece of linen from XJu every month . . I didn’t need more of this one. By November, I was sure I couldn’t live without more of this one so I wrote her and asked if she would dye a yard of it for me. The monthly selections are not repeatable but she said she could get close, would dye it in December and send it with my January package.
So, it was in this package.
It’s just a bit more golden tan than the original September piece but I love the new one even more than the September fabric. I think I already know one thing I want to stitch using it. Unless it’s a huge project, I should be able to get four projects out of a full yard of linen. The full yard is something like 36″ x 55″ so each quarter will be about 18″ x 27″.
And, seeing For the Love of Nature makes me want to get back to working on it but . . WIPGO calls so I’m fixing to start stitching again on Thy Love Divine.

That is some gorgeous linen! I’m loving working on For the Love of Nature. I have continued to work on it past the 6 days goal for WIPGO. Currently working on the house. I’m not totally loving how the pink looks on mine so I might switch it to the Williamsburg when I get to the border.
