You all know Jo from Jo’s Country Junction. I’ve “known” Jo for a long time, though we’ve never met in real life. She and I were quilters, then we both wrote books, now we’re both cross stitching. Jo is an amazing cross stitcher. Her work is so beautiful, and she’s fast! I told her I want to come spend a week with her and just watch her stitch.
Jo has collaborated with The Stitchery Nook to put together and host a stitch along, with tutorials and lessons and questions and answers and, Jo was kind enough to invite me to participate as a co-host.
All of the details can be found in Jo’s post introducing the Stitch Along. Everything is covered there and Jo and The Stitchery Nook have made it so easy to get everything you need to get started (and finished). There are options as far as the fabric you can use; the chart is so cute. You can order everything or just the chart or just the chart and floss or just the chart and fabric. Told you it was easy! 🙂
You have plenty of time to order the chart, fabric and floss if you want to participate. I’m not saying there’s a limit but . . this is the internet and the number of kits they’ve planned for may be way different from the number of particpants who want to join us (Jo is pretty popular!) . . if you want to join, please go to Jo’s blog post, read the details, look at the chart, click on the link to The Stitchery Nook and place an order.
I’m not going to say all the things I thought I was going to say here because Jo already said it all and she said it better and probably way shorter than I would say it! 🙂
I will say that I’m really excited about this. The chart we’re going to use has three charts and the Stitch Along is only for one of the charts but I hope to have all three of them stitched by Fall. It’s a darling trio of charts.
If you have any questions, I’ll be happy to provide answers here or Jo is hanging out on the computer this evening answering questions also.

this sounds very doable. I will have to think about this, but it looks very interesting, and the price is not bad at all. I still have a lot of WIP’s I am trying to finish! LOL You know how that goes!

I saw her post earlier and then went to the Stitchery Nook. Lol. Good thing I didn’t agree to a no buy 2022! I was happy to see they had some of the floss I needed for the Huckleberry and Quilting Bee charts too. Looking forward to the fun!

Well, heck, I probably needed it too! 🙂

Ordered! I’m doing a SAL in February with a friend of mine. We are doing the one color SAL with The Colorado Cross Stitcher. Yours and Jo’s will be my 2nd. Jumping in with both feet. Lol

Yay! Glad to have you. I’m doing Sheri’s too but I’m still on the fence about the fabric I’ll use.

I’m in! I’ve been following both you and Jo for many years and you guys have me wanting to get back into cross stitching. So I decided to go ahead and do it. I ordered yesterday and will give it a go! I ordered linen because I love the look, although I’ve only ever stitched on Aida before. My first questions for you will probably be about how to keep the cat off me while I’m trying to stitch!

You can either go sit in your car or go to a friend’s house, assuming said friend doesn’t have a cat. Otherwise . . it’s like trying to make a cat do anything. Boots is so very black and, of course everything I stitch is light. When he’s sitting on my lap, my thread seems to run across his back and it’s like thinning his fur – the thread if full of cat hair and it gets stitched into the piece. I try to pick it out but I figure some day Addie will be an old granny and she will look at my work and see Boots’ hair and smile.

So Judy – did you already have the pattern and floss or do you need a friend to send them to you so you don’t break your “no buy 2022”? LOL – but I’m willing if needed to help you out!

Very kind of you but I’m good. I am loving it when there’s a SAL and I can say “I have that chart! I have the floss!” The charts that I’m tempted to buy, I remind myself of all the beautiful charts I have here that I want to stitch. Ordering more means something won’t get done so I’m ok for now but . . it is still January! 🙂
