We had a busy day yesterday so I didn’t get but three hours stitching time. That doesn’t include finishing Addie’s stocking – that was just three hours cross stitching last night. I’m back working on a WIPGO project and all of those have a goal of 20 hours so I’m tracking my time.
I did a few of the rice stitches at the bottom (didn’t take a picture) but I can do those without counting so I decided to go up and work on the border which does require counting. Vince was watching football downstairs so could count without interruptions.
The top border had been stitched almost to the left edge so I finished that and came part of the way down the left side border.
Assuming all goes well with the fridge delivery and set up, I should get lots of stitching time today. I’ve already mentioned to Vince that I’d like to pickup food from one of the local food trucks for our meal. I’m thinking he has some places he wants to go tomorrow if the fridge deal is completed early enough. I asked Vince to please check the connections to the ice maker before the installers leave so we don’t have another leak from an appliance installation. He said “You can bet before they leave the store with that fridge, they will already have received advice about double checking the connection.” I don’t know about that but Vince said he would check it.
I did get my one length stitched.
The way this chart is written, there are pages and I think the page I’m working on has A – I or something like that, then it goes down to the next font, which is a pretty font and has something like A – E (these letters are wider). Then page 2 has J – Q on page 2 and after Q, that’s halfway across the chart. I am working across and doing the whole first row of the chart. Does that make sense? I wish I could show the chart.
I’m sure that does not make sense but I was thinking . . the alphabet I’m stitching is rather boring but the next row is pretty so maybe I should stitch each page – page 1, then page 2, etc. and get a variety of fonts but I think I should keep doing it like I’m doing it, at least for now.
Today I should get through “Q”.

Looking good! I’m doing the same thing you are doing….going through the whole line of the alphabet across the width instead of completing all the designs on the page. Even though I’m pretty sure I have the space, in the back of my mind I want to make sure by going all the way across….lol When it’s time to move the linen I need to go downstairs and get the scroll frame. I don’t know why I didn’t grab it instead of the hoop to begin with! Hope you get plenty of stitching time today!
