The appliance salesman called to tell me the fridge is in and they could deliver it today. They’re going to take away the current garage fridge, put the current kitchen fridge in the garage and the new fridge in the kitchen. So, not only do I have to take everything out of the kitchen fridge, I have to clean out the garage fridge.
I’m driving up to get Addie this afternoon and then taking her back Monday afternoon so I didn’t want to deal with the fridge transfers while she’s here, or be tired from doing all that before driving up to get her and, after the dishwasher installation, I’d rather stick around and make sure everything is ok after they hook up the ice maker on the fridges. So, we won’t get the new fridge til Tuesday.
Vince said “Do you really want the new fridge installed before the floors are done?” YES! If there’s a leak or a scratch, let’s do it before the floors are refinished. Hopefully there will be no leaks or no scratches.
I wonder if we could eat everything in both fridges before Tuesday? I volunteer to take care of the ice cream! I’m sure Addie will gladly commit to the jar of cherries and chocolate syrup. 🙂
The dishwasher parts came in so the guy came back and changed those out today. He showed Vince and said “These wear out pretty often! They’re just plastic.” OK . . they had to be replaced on a brand new dishwasher within three months. Should we order them in bulk? How ridiculous is it to spend that much money on a dishwasher that has plastic parts that wear out often? I told Vince . . see if you can get the file and maybe 3D print the parts we need. I know that wouldn’t work but dang it . . they don’t make stuff like they used to. I suppose as long as people like us keep buying whatever they make, they’ll keep making things that aren’t very dependable.
