Today Chad and I were talking about cat attitudes and I told him I had heard that tortoise shell cats had even bigger attitudes. Cat surely did and their cat seemed sweet but I suppose most younger cats are sweet – not sure when the real attitude develops. If cats are anything like children, there’s a 9 year old sitting here and I’d say the attitude has developed! 🙂
A cousin was going through pictures this evening and sent me this one.
First grade school photo. Looking at that picture, I’m thinking I had an attitude. I had a real hard time learning that I couldn’t talk when I wanted to. I couldn’t leave my classroom and go visit a friend. My mom taught at the same school and sometimes, a girl just needs to go tell mom something.
I guess I never quite figured out that I can’t always talk when I want to (poor Vince goes to be early and by the time I get to bed, there’s at least a dozen things I need to tell him!), and another lesson I should work on — can’t always say what you think!
Vince looked at the picture and said “You have the same beady eyes and the same hairstyle! 🙂 Same beady eyes probably but the hairstyle might be a little different, though not much, and the hair is differently a different color.

Your eyes are not beady! My goodness! The things that come out of husbands’ mouths.

You look like you’re trying really hard not to say something in that picture! After what Vince said, I’ll bet you DO look the same.

Yes, “Bite your tongue, Judy! Do NOT say what you’re thinking!” I guess I’ve said that same thing since first grade though I do have a bit more “filter” than I used to. Not enough yet, but more than I once had. 🙂

You look adorable in this picture!

Thanks! So many years ago – didn’t have a care in the world. I think about some of the first graders today – terrible home life, wondering if they’ll have an adult at home, if they have clean clothes . . I had a great childhood.

I and my 5 siblings are so thankful for our great childhood too! You look very cute in that photo! I, too, have to be careful of what I say, so I talk less now. Sometimes in the middle of the night I have to write notes and leave them on the snackbar to remind me to tell my husband about something I need him to do. Otherwise I will forget! (He doesn’t always appreciate these notes…)

How adorable! I see a little of Addie in this photo! You don’t have beady eyes!

That is such a cute picture and I also say, no beady eyes!! You do look like you have some mischief you’re trying to squelch though….lol

What a sweet picture. Does anyone else notice a distinct resemblance to Addie?

That’s sweet. Thank you!

I think your eyes look quite big…definitely not beady. Men!!! (You can tell Vince I said that!)
You were so cute, and I see a bit of attitude there!
Nelle Coursey says
Your eyes are NOT beady!! I would recognize this as you. Your facial features have not changed at all, just matured. And that is not a bad thing!
Donna in KS says
Cute girl who grew up (matured) to be just as cute! I spent more time in the coat room then in the class room my third grade year. Seems I had a talking problem too! Some would say I still do!! When I first saw the picture without reading anything, my thought was, ‘Addie got a haircut’!
Julie Thomas says
Oh Vince! ? I read that in his voice and just started cracking up! I don’t think you should cook for him today! ?

Too late. 🙂

Just as cute then as you are now!!!
