Last night I stitched a bit on New Year Sampler. I love this chart so much. All the little motifs are so fun to stitch. I’ve heard other stitchers say that if feels like a new finish with each motif that’s completed and it really does. Besides, this one is so pretty.
Here’s where it was when I started on it last night.
I didn’t get a lot of stitching done but every bit helps towards getting it finished.
Here’s where I ended last night:
I finished most of that little motif to the right of the “2”. It may be strawberries. I still have the top of the ribbon to do.
The thing at the bottom left . . I have no idea what it is but I got almost one of them stitched. There are three. I keep trying to figure out what they are . . maybe packages? Remember . . I thought the cherries were stick people and the “A” was a pacman figure so I may not be the one to guess what these motifs are going to be.
I think I’ll work on this one today, then put it away tomorrow to work on my #2 WIPGO project which is Thy Love Divine.
Bits and pieces on several charts but that keeps it interesting.

It might be packages. My first thought was a pineapple.

I think it’s bags (maybe gift bags) cinched up at the top – or maybe bags of reindeer feed 🙂 can’t wait to get back to that one as soon as my floss arrives.

Bags make sense but I guess reindeer feed does too because there is greenery around them. Who knows? Maybe it says somewhere on the chart what everything is. I haven’t thought about that.

I suspect the design at the left is a money bag.

Oh, I hope. I need a bag full of money. 🙂

-My 2 cents (more or less) worth: the A looks like “Space Invaders”; I was looking up what currants look like for the red fruit under the mug, and I think currants are what are over the cherries, and still can’t figure out that fruit (I don’t think strawberries because of the green at the end); and that lower red motif definitely looks like a bag tied at the top!
You certainly are getting variety in this piece!!

It’s definitely interesting.

Judy, where’s the letter “C”?

The “C” will be over on the top right.

Great progress! Such cheery colors! Perfect for these gray winter days which is unusual for us. Normally we get more sunshine in the winter.
