Yesterday I stitched 5 hours and 45 minutes, which is exactly what I stitched Thursday. That’s weird. I didn’t take a nap yesterday but stitched way later into the night Thursday night than I did last night. After yesterday’s stitching, I had stitched 20 hours, 15 minutes on this project, which was one of the January WIPGO projects and I only needed to stitch 20 hours on it so I’m done with that one for January. I’ll put it away for now. Next weekend is WIPGO weekend so I may work on it again then.
I’m so happy with my stitching on this one. Here’s where I left off Thursday night:
Here’s where I left off last night.
Yesterday I filled in the berries on the little tree, finished the basket and got more work done on the leg. What’s funny is I have this project on my WIPGO board twice – 20 hours each time. I thought there was a chance I’d finish this after 40 hours. After seeing what I’ve done, it will take me 200 or more hours to finish this project — maybe 400 hours. That just doesn’t look like 5 hours stitching from what I did on Thursday to what I did on Friday. Maybe I’m just slow! 🙁
It doesn’t matter really . . I’m loving stitching this one. That deer is massive though.

I have come to terms that I am a slow stitcher, but I enjoy the process. I have found I get less done when watching floss tube because I keep having to look up at what they are showing. I get more done when watching/listening to old reruns. I get more done on the weekend (sometime), because I don’t work. I have decided being slow is ok as long as I am having fun. And I am.

You’re right. It doesn’t bother me to be slow but I want to get more done so I can do more! 🙂
I always have something else going on and those things are as important and as fun as stitching. Today, it’s bread baking and soup making so I haven’t done any stitching yet.
For what it’s worth, you seem fast to me!

It’s looking great! Your stitches are so perfect. Love the shading on the fruit.

Thanks but they’re not really perfect. It makes me feel good that you said that because I look at all the pictures others post and their stitches always look perfect. I’m really happy with mine but I still have a ways to go before I’d say they’re perfect.

Looking really good! I sometimes look at my stitches and think they don’t look great…especially as you get further along on the same strand of floss. Sometimes it twists and then it looks narrow when it forms the second x. I try to keep the floss from twisting but some pieces do it more than others and I haven’t figured out which ones yet. I don’t think it stands out from a distance so it is what it is….lol I have no concept of how much time I will need for a project! I am hoping I finish something this year but I don’t know if that will happen! lol I think that’s why I included some smalls in my WIPGO board. I need to have some gratification on a finish and I am pretty sure that will occur with a small…lol
