Tonight we used our little cookie maker gizmo and made bowls for ice cream.
One thing – I used the recipe that came with it and it said to pour about 1/4 cup of batter into the pan. That was way too thick and they didn’t get crispy. They were more like floppy pancakes. I used about half that amount and they worked way better.
I can see making these without the sugar (or with way less sugar) and having eggs, sausage and cheese in them.
Addie is going to love this!

Stroopwafels do want a soft “floppy” cake. They are to be chewy. (FYI from a Dutch girl).

Never would think to buy something like that, but after reading how you’re using it (with ideas of other things to fill it with), that’s going to be a handy gadget to have. I see it filled with mixed berries in the spring with a little whipped cream on the top….or possibly a simple salad that’s been already been mixed with dressing or a coleslaw already mixed with dressing and served in the bowls. I do love your blog – I learn SO much from things you do or try. Have a great day….
