This morning after my chores were done, I sat down to start my Sunday Stitch. For WIPGO, I’m going to use the stopwatch to track my time so I thought I’d try it to get used to starting it and stopping it.
I started the stopwatch, took maybe 3 stitches, the dishwasher repairman rang the doorbell. I got up . . forgot to stop the stopwatch, talked to him, got him started looking at the dishwasher, remembered Vince had brought his dirty clothes into the laundry room, put those on to wash, folded the clothes in the dryer and put them away, while walking through the living room I remembered I had left the vacuum hose out to vacuum under the dining room table, did that. Then I decided that even though I vacuumed yesterday, since the hose was still out, I’d go ahead and vacuum the living room again so I don’t have to get it all out tomorrow to do it again. Then I remembered the stairs haven’t been vacuumed in a while. Vince was in the kitchen with the repairman so I quickly vacuumed the stairs.
By the time I put the vacuum hose away, the repairman had figured out the problem and explained it to us – he’ll order parts and they’ll be here in 7 – 10 days. I got online to order a couple of things I needed from Amazon and cancel a Subscribe & Save item I no longer want.
Then I read email – then . . I remembered the stop watch was still going. 1 hour, 1 minute – three stitches. Reset the stopwatch to zero and started stitching again. Starting and stopping it will become a habit after a while. I’m going to write down the amount of stitching time at the end of each day so I won’t lose a whole week’s worth of info if I mess up. I’m sure there are days I’ll remember and days I won’t remember but . . it isn’t critical if I forget – just more convenient if I remember.
I did stop it to get up and put Vince’s clothes in the dryer, decided to write this post, and now I’ll start the stopwatch and start stitching again.
As far as time, I’m back up to 1 hour 7 minutes and I’ve stitched C – G.
I love this little chart but am wondering how I’ll frame it. I don’t want a pink frame. I don’t really want a gold frame; I think a white frame isn’t what I want either. I guess I’ll cross the frame selection bridge when I get to it .. and that isn’t going to be today.
