Yesterday Vince asked me “Where’s your favorite place to eat around here?” It had to be a trick question because what matters to Vince when eating out is NOT what I like but where we get the most food for our money. Here’s my response, not verbatim, of course.
I like Magic Noodle but I know you don’t feel like you get enough food for the money. I like Boomer’s when we haven’t been there too often. I love sushi but I know you don’t like it. I used to enjoy a good steak but now that we get such great meat from J-H, I’d rather eat steak at home. I like Chick-Fil-A but we’ve been there too much. I can’t eat a hamburger. I guess Mexican is my favorite if we can’t find good fried fish.
I’m sure that answer totally confused him. Heck, it confused me!
I know exactly what’s going to happen today. The pallet store got in new pallets yesterday and he’s going to want to go there. If he could entice me by offering to take me to my favorite restaurant, he would say “I’ll take you to eat at where ever if you want to go by the pallet store with me!”
I don’t want to eat out. I don’t want to go to the pallet store. I want to stay home . . all day!
Who thinks I’m right?
There is a Thai place I like and Vince thinks that for the money, you don’t get enough food. I didn’t mention that but it’s not too far from The Pallet Store. He might offer to go there. That’s one offer I might not could refuse.
We’ll see what happens. I almost want to giggle every time he walks into the room . . wondering if he’s about to mention it. 🙂

Actually I had to chuckle at this. We are the opposite here. I am sick of cooking, especially for a picky eater like my husband. Cooking for him is boring! I love going out to eat, but it doesn’t happen very often. The shopping that Vince likes to do wouldn’t be my cup of tea either however. Have a good end of the year – whether you go with Vince or not.

So far, he hasn’t mentioned it so my prediction may have been completely wrong but the day is still young! 🙂

This made me chuckle! I was thinking it would be nice to order out today (requires a trip out to get it and bring it back) but with the snow and it being New Year’s Eve I’m thinking that’s not going to happen. I usually go get things because my husband is always good with just a sandwich for dinner when I don’t feel like cooking. I guess I don’t feel like it’s fair to send him to go get something he doesn’t have a strong desire to eat….lol

Vince never mentioned going to The Pallet Store so I finally said “I’m surprised you didn’t want to go to The Pallet Store”. He said he wasn’t interested in going today so I guess I’d better get started cooking. The football game is about to start and we’ll be eating during halftime.
