I had mentioned that I ordered three bottles of balsamic vinegar from San Saba Olive Oil Company. It arrived yesterday. I was a bit nervous about ordering it but it was so carefully wrapped. Each bottle was wrapped separately with a lot of newspaper and then some kind of custom cardboard sleeve was taped around each bottle. Lots more newspaper was cushioning all sides of the box. There were labels “GLASS” on the box and it was sent priority mail.
Blackberry Ginger and Bordeaux Cherry are new flavors for us. We’ve had Pomegranate and we love that one but I’m thinking we’re going to love Blackberry Ginger and Bordeaux Cherry too. They have one flavor, Garlic Cilantro – I think I could drink it out of the bottle. I love it on steaks. I love it on croutons. Vince can’t stand it. He swears that when I put it on my steak, it ruins the flavor of his steak. Otherwise, we love all the balsamics from San Saba that we’ve tried.
So, one last “commercial” – They have different sizes. 100 ML is about $10, 200 ML is about $18 and 375 ML (which the ones shown are), is about $20. Shipping for three of the large bottles was less than $10. These make great gifts so when planning your Christmas gifts for next year, you might want to think about balsamic from San Saba Olive Oil Company.

Judy, did you know that some people have a gene (or something) that causes cilantro to taste like soap? My youngest son and I both have it…cilantro is disgusting for us! He can tell if there is even a speck of it in his food. So, maybe Vince has the same thing….I think cilantro is one of those things you either love or hate.

I think cilantro is a nasty taste.

I wish I would have ordered elderberry but I will definitely order it next time.

I never thought I would have thought I would like the taste of vinegar! But when I mix the olive oil and the Elderberry Balsamic Vinegar, it tastes very good! I think I could eat this over pancakes instead of syrup!!

Try the balsamic over ice cream – just a drizzle. It’s so good!

Wow…those are great prices! Our son sends us a large bottle of the 18 year plain from Santa Cruz CA every year and it is a lot more than that! Will have to look into it. Enjoy!

Wow!! I may just have to try t!

Dark chocolate balsamic vinegar over blackjack cherry frozen yogurt – yummmmmmmy!
Happy New Year to all.

It sounds good but I really don’t like chocolate. I do have chocolate balsamic but I bet Vince would love the yogurt with the dark chocolate. Thanks for that idea.
