The one thing I found at the pallet store yesterday was “Pedi in a Box”.
They are in the $7 range at Amazon. There are many different fragrances. At the Voesh website, I signed up for their mailing list and received a 10% off coupon in my email. At their site, there are various three packs for $18, which is a bit better than buying three for $7.00. I also saw some three packs on Amazon for $19. At the Voesh website, there’s free shipping with orders over $35.
Not to sound like a commercial . . but this little packet was pretty amazing. There’s a sea salt packet that you pour into warm water and soak your feet; then there’s a sugar scrub packet, then a mud masque packet, and finally, a massage butter packet.
Last night, I told Addie to put on something that didn’t have long pants after her shower. She wanted to know why and I told her I had a surprise for her. She came out with a night gown on and was ready for her surprise. I ran a bit of warm water in the bath tub, had her shake the salt packet in there. She wasn’t sure what we were going to do but we sat on the side of the tub, soaked our feet, then used the sugar scrub, turned around so our feet were out of the water, added the masque, sat there and chatted, then rinsed that off. I massed the cream into her feet, then she wanted to massage the cream into my feet, which I think was more about trying to ticklet my feet! Addie and I shared a packet and there was plenty for the two of us in each packet. It really felt good and probably would have been quite relaxing had Addie not been so excited about it and couldn’t stop giggling.
That massage butter . . I would love a gallon of that stuff!
These little packets, along with the other things they have, would make the perfect gifts for teachers, hair stylists, your favorite server at the local diner. I’m going to remember this for Christmas next year but I ordered some to have on hand just to hand out every now and then. They have “mani in a box” too.
I can’t think of a gift under $10 I’d rather receive than one of these little boxes. I did order a few more so Addie and I can treat ourselves again – not every time she’s here but sometime soon.
I had to admit to Vince that I would never have ordered something like that had I not found it while digging through bins at the pallet store. No . . I don’t want to go every Friday but it was kinda fun for a little while.

Guess that store is like an amazon return store? Our Mennonite community has one. Prices changed every day. Saturday new boxes are put out. We love going there!

How much did find it for at the pallet store?

Everything there yesterday was $5 plus .40 tax so $5.40. Ordering online, I was able to get a 3 pack for $18 with 10% off, no tax and free shipping so that came to $5.40 per pack too. Online, there were all kinds of scent varieties.

The image of you and Addie sitting side by side doing this made me smile. No way would I have let anyone massage my foot…I’m too ticklish. I had exactly one pedicure and then no more…could not handle someone else touching my feet. My loss as I like a good foot massage but I don’t take the time to give one to myself!

I would not like people touching my feet either so I’ve never had a pedicure. Addie loves to do foot massages and she does a good job but I think she’s doing it more because she loves to tickle my feet so I try to bite my tongue and not let on that it’s tickling.

It’s nice to read that other people besides me are squeamish about having their feet touched! I just love that you’re doing fun stuff like this with Addie. I’ll need to remember it for my girls when their a little older! Guess what? As of tomorrow I’m retired!!!
