Even though it’s still 2021, I’m counting this as a “No Buy 2022 Victory”. Some of my victories will be more subtle than others but this one was kind of a big one.
This evening I got a newsletter from a cross stitching shop and there were openings in a club for a specific designer . . a designer I like a lot. I clicked on the link but it didn’t actually go where it was supposed to go so I had to do a bit of sleuthing to find the correct link. Found it! Added the item to my cart.
Then, I thought . . of all the charts I have here that are never going to get stitched because I probably don’t have enough time left, why would I spend $100+ on something else that, while I love it, I love other things more?
Deleted it from my cart and felt really good about that decision.
I will share my victories – especially the ones I feel are kinda big; I will share everything I purchase (cross stitch related), even though some of those may be things I feel justified to buy – like floss, but I don’t want to say I’m not buying anything and then buy something and not share it so knowing I have to disclose anything I buy will hopefully stop me from buying anything.

There is nothing wrong with buying floss, especially if you don’t have enough to complete a project, or don’t have a color that works for a project. It’s the same as replenishing your spice supply for cooking when you run low!

Yes, that’s what I’ve said all along except . . I won’t need to buy floss. I have plenty.

Oh, my, help!! I’ve got an open cart with several yards of beautiful fabric waiting for the click of the mouse. I thought I had reached that place of nirvana, enough. Then one of my favorite online shops showed me some I hadn’t seen. And it’s on sale!!!! I can’t……self control is a virtue…..where would I put it? Congratulations on your “win”!

..Good for you! (pats back) You turned it down one time, but it sounds like it will save you monthly packages? So give yourself a thumbs-up once a month!
Look at you starting your no-buy early. Put another star on the tree for you!

Not as long as I had hoped! 🙂
