My first package from Fat Quarter Shop is still sitting at the Austin sorting facility. Today is day 20 since it was scanned. FQS sent a replacement and very early this morning, it landed in . . drumroll please . . Portland, Oregon. I’m not a geography genius and you don’t want me reading a map if we’re traveling together but in 9 years of living in Texas, not terribly far from Austin, and driving to Missouri often, I never considered going through Portland, Oregon to get to MO. So, why the heck did my package go to Oregon??
It’s a bit comical at this point.
I am getting a bit of stitching done tonight. Addie is “organizing” the sewing room and so far, she has built a bet for boots (from my fabric) on just about every shelf in there. Vince is downstairs watching TV and it almost feels like I’m home alone but I’m not. Definitely enjoying a little peace and quiet.
Oops . . someone is coming up the stairs. So much for alone time! 🙂

Alone time is overrated!

I know it is when that’s all you have but sometimes, for my sanity, I need just a bit of alone time.

I recently had a package from Kentucky go to Seattle back to Tennessee then finally to Iowa where it belongs. ?

Ahhh . . that gives me hope that someday I’ll see one of these packages.

I ordered from Eddie Bauer on November 30, tracking number doesn’t work for ANY carrier. I am starting a dispute with my credit card company today.

How crazy is that? Good luck. I’ve had more disputes with my credit card within the past six months than I think I have all together for the past 20 years. So far, I’ve received credit for every one of them. I think I’m ordering from reputable companies and paying attention to ratings, etc. Eddie Bauer . . who would have hesitated to order from them?

The way you wrote about your package is so comical, not that it’s actual happened to you. I hope in the end your situation is straightened out. Merry Christmas.

Come to Portland to pick it up. For you, I’d cross that awful bridge and meet you there. Oh the shenanigans that would ensue.

Now that is tempting. We would have so much fun.

Oh oh somebody better be alerted ?!!

Unfortunately, I’m not friends with the postmaster’s mother! That certainly got results last time! 🙂

So it’s taking the scenic route…it’s amazing how packages go around the country before they get to where they belong. I usually say that my packages are better traveled than I am!

This reminds me of the time we were flying from Tulsa to Seattle. We changed planes in ATLANTA. It made for a very long day.
judy.blog@gmail.com says
Oh, my goodness. Having to go anywhere near the Atlanta airport would be enough for me to cancel the whole trip. That was a long day!
Sandi B says
It was! The flight home made more sense – we changed planes in Dallas.

Oh no! This post really does not bode well for me! The one and only present I asked for is a fat quarter bundle from…the Fat Quarter Shop. And guess where tracking says that it is right now? You guessed it: Austin, TX. It is supposed to arrive on Christmas Eve. Someone in Portland, OR is going to have a Great Christmas between the two of us!

Have no fear. Both of my packages started moving at warp speed yesterday. The first one, which I think shipped on December 1, left Kansas City very early this morning. It may or may not go to Springfield, MO before arriving here so it could arrive before Christmas. The other left Portland yesterday and arrived in KC early this morning so my guess is that both of them will arrive tomorrow or Friday. I hope yours gets to moving and arrives before Christmas.
