Last year Addie and I made fudge, she scooped out all the leftovers from the pot and ate it and she was bouncing off the walls. Vince was here and at one point, he looked at me, with fear in his eyes, and said “how long does this last?” I said “about a week!” and I saw gratitude in his face . . that he was heading back to Texas the next day.
Last night we made fudge and, again, she “licked the pot”.
She never got crazy or bounced off the walls last night.
She had a couple of recipes in her suitcase that she brought for us to make so I’m sure she will be on a sugar high before this is all over.

I made fudge this week too, but mine is just the “cheater” recipe – chocolate frosting and creamy peanut butter. I had no time to make the regular fudge this year. So far my husband hasn’t found it in the fridge so hopefully it will last until the kids and grandkids come on Christmas Day.
