The stitching is done. The sewing isn’t done. I may try to get the sewing done today but I’ll definitely get Addie’s Christmas pillow made, since I see her tomorrow.
With the Valentine’s project done way ahead, maybe I’ll stay ahead of the stitching for her holiday projects.
I haven’t paid a whole lot of attention to the finishing instructions but I think it says to make a beaded loop for hanging but I think I’ll use a piece of pink ribbon.
There are three little charts in a Blackbird Designs booklet entitled “Love is in the Air”. It is still available at quite a few shops so, if you’re interested, you should be able to find it.
I’ll probably run downstairs once it gets daylight and seam up Addie’s Christmas pillow, then get back to working on For the Love of Nature. On 30 count (called for), the end up being 3″ x 5″. I used 28 count and, according to the calculator, this one will be about 3-1/8″ x 5-1/4″. I’ll have to enlarge the stocking template a bit but I’ll figure it out.
I was thinking . . if I made a bunch of smalls, like more little Valentine stockings, I might finish more projects in 2022 than if I only work on samplers. Seriously, I’m going to work on what I want to work on without regard to numbers but I’ll always be in awe that The Contented Stitcher finishes so much!

That is so cute!! I picked out mostly smalls this year not because I am counting or trying to get my “numbers” up but because finishing things feel good. I do gave a couple of bigger projects in the mix as well. But my goal is to have enough smalls to fit a dough bowl.

That is so cute!! Looking forward to seeing it completed into the stocking. For awhile I stayed away from smalls because I really didn’t know what I would do with them…not sure about dough bowl pillows. But, I included a bunch of smalls in my kits because I liked the design and as Shauna says, finishing feels so good! I still don’t have plans for them but I’ll worry about that later…lol
