I had hoped to finish the stitching last night but it didn’t happen. I took a long nap in the afternoon and knew when I woke up at 6 p.m. that chances of getting the stitching finished were slim. I should be able to get it done today but I do have an eye doctor appointment and was supposed to get the car aligned but the place called and moved that appointment to tomorrow so, as luck would have it, that will mean I’ve had to go somewhere every day this week.
And, Friday morning, the dishwasher repairman comes. Yes, the new dishwasher . . the same dishwasher that leaked on the floor but that wasn’t the dishwasher’s fault. It’s making a horrible clunking sound. I’ve tried running it without dishes and it still makes the sound. I’ve taken out the silverware container and it still makes the sound. I’ve cleaned the filter and done everything I know to do so it’s time for the professional to see what he can do. I love my stove but I do not love this dishwasher and probably never will.
Anyway, here’s the progress I got done on the Valentine stocking.
There aren’t that many stitches left to make but it’s a lot of stops and starts but I should be able to get it all finished today.

I’m sorry about your dishwasher woes. It’s so frustrating when you buy a new appliance and then it doesn’t work as it should! I think that keeps me from replacing our main fridge. We’ve had occasional issues with the ice maker but I can live with that if necessary. It seems that a lot of the newer appliances don’t last as long as the older ones. The Valentine stocking is looking good! I had meant to ask whether you used one or two strands but you answered that in another post. 🙂

Our fridge is supposed to be here in December but who knows. I’m questioning now whether replacing the 18 year old fridge was a great idea.
