We had to leave the house this morning about 7:15 to be at the hospital by 8 for Vince to have an upper GI scope done. His procedure wasn’t scheduled til 9:30 but they wanted us there 1-1/2 hours early so . . we were there 1 hour, 45 minutes early. As soon as Vince got checked in and into his little private waiting/recovery room, I grabbed my 28 count linen, put on the 4.0 readers and started stitching.
Nurses, anesthesiologist, the doctor . . people kept coming in to talk to Vince so I sat in my corner and stitched. They came and got Vince and I thought I’d have at least a half an hour to stitch. No! They were back in 10 minutes. WHAT? Can’t you keep him a bit longer?”
We had to hang around til Vince was pretty much back to normal, then the doctor came in and talked to us. The report was good. The doctor did take some “scrapings” and the results should be back in a few days but he doesn’t expect any issues . . just come back and do it again in three years.
Vince has this scope done every three years and every time we leave the hospital, I wonder “where will we be living when we do this again?” but this time, I no longer wonder. We’ll be right here and hopefully at the same hospital with the same doctor.
i think I can finish this project today so I’m going to keep stitching on it.

Judy, did you realize you have your top thread going in a different direction than some of your other stitches? I hope I haven’t ruined your day by speaking up.

So glad Vince got a good report. Those things can be scary sometimes!
