I’ve mentioned before that I’m not a fan of the lower count linens, mainly because I don’t enjoy stitching with two strands of floss but since I wanted to stitch at the hospital this morning and didn’t want to haul even a small magnifying lamp with me for such a short time, I took my readers and a project using 28 count fabric. That meant using two strands of floss and I acutally liked it! I wouldn’t like using two strands on 40 count, and maybe not on 30 count but from now on, I won’t turn my nose up at something that really needs to be stitched on a lower count fabric with two strands.
That paragraph has nothing really to do with the rest of this post but I just thought I’d share that info.
Denise is such an enabler. If you’re a stitcher or thinking about it, check out Denise’s post from today.
She shared photos of Aida she had ordered from To Dye For Fabrics on Etsy. Denise had sent me their info before and I had looked at her fabrics but never ordered. The no buying in 2022 hasn’t officially started, right?
I ordered 40 count line, top to bottom – Pale Taupe, Dried Sage and Weathered Oak. They will almost certainly arrive in 2022 but they weren’t purchased in 2022. This could be the last purchase of fabric I’ll make for a very long time. Really! Stop laughing! 🙂

I love 2 strands on 14 and 18 count Aida or up to 36 count linen. The stitching is really FULL 🙂

I am so used to using 2 threads, using one seems odd to me. I love 28 ct and 32 ct, but I am an Lugana girl. I love even weaves. Those are some very pretty colors and I am tempted, but unless I get some patterns for Christmas, I am good for now. Tonight I finished the last of 4 memorial projects I have been doing, and I am looking forward to getting back to one of my WIPs tomorrow.

I went straight to the shop and ordered some of the 18ct. I already have fabric kitted up for two of the projects I bought for but the dyed, if they work, will look better than the flat one color. I ordered some extra in two other colors just because…lol. I ordered the leaf green, pale taupe, dried sage, and hazel wood. I love that she had the DMC floss sitting on it as I could compare them to the threads in the projects and see if they would work. The waiting will be the hard part! lol

Let me know what you think when it it arrives. We got two of the same colors. Denise likes it so I’m sure we will too.

After reading Denise’s blog yesterday I went to the site to look around. I love lots of the colors of Aida. I bookmarked the site for future shopping, I have enough fabric to keep me busy for a while but I will go back to the Etsy shop when I need more!

Oh I have already read Denise’s Newsletter and it just encourage me to go to the site she gave. After Christmas when Funds are not needed elsewhere I will be visiting. I ready saved a few favorites. Lolo I am so slow right now with my stitching I may never finish this small project. I will have to share all the charts I have purchased being tempted by reading Newsletter or Blogs! But I love it!
