I kept reading about “WIPGO” in various online cross stitch groups and finally tracked down the WIPGO group. If you’re on FB, they’re easy to find.
It seemed confusing to me but last night, because it really sounds like something I would enjoy and help keep me on track, I watched the youtube video by Jessie Marie, the lady who started this idea.
After watching the video, it all made perfect sense so I worked on my “WIPGO Board”.
There are no prizes except any you may want to award to yourself when you BINGO. There’s no accountability to anyone other than yourself.
Two numbers will be drawn each month, except the month she draws 13, which is a free space, she’ll draw three numbers so we can get through 25 squares during the calendar year.
For all of mine except one, I’ve put to work on for 48 hours. I can only stitch about 8 hours most days so that’s 6 days per project and two projects means 12 days per month, along with other projects I have planned. Six day son a project is a lot of stitching and for the ones I have listed two or three times, I could see a finish.
I think I can do this! Anyone else want to join in? It can be anything you want it to be and you don’t have to join the FB group. Just use a random number generator to choose the numbers or put 1 – 25 in a hat and draw two out each month. The people who have done it a couple of years love it!

Ok I am beginning to feel a like weird because I decided last week to do WIPGO, I have my board almost filled, I think I need have 2 more spots. I picked either 5 days or if it is small I said finish.
I also decided to do the 12 starts on New Years Eve. You start 1 project an hour between noon and midnight. These are a big part of my WIPGO board, along with some lingering projects.
Today is kitting day, I think I have all but 3 in Pattern Keeper, so now I pull fabric and floss and get them organized.

I like that 12 starts on New Year’s Eve, thought to me, getting it all kitted up is almost like starting. Once it’s ready to start, I feel the same way I feel after having made a few stitches. Today is kitting day for me too. I’m still tweaking my board as I come across charts since I don’t have that many WIPS.

I’m in! Just finished watching the video and need to decide how I’m going to approach this. I think if I choose working on a chart for 6 days, that is totally doable. I need to go look at what I have kitted up and see what I need to prepare or buy…lol. I’m trying to decide how to incorporate the projects I want to do from Owl Forest once I get the floss….hope it comes before the end of the month as I’m waiting for the floss before buying some of the fabric since I don’t use the count they have in their store. Not sure how to approach the planned starts for certain dates…ie, wanted to start A Good Marriage in April for our anniversary….maybe I’ll just start when it comes up before then. The start for New Year’s is no problem.,,,but now I’m liking the starting 12 new starts for the year on New Year’s Eve but not sure I can stay awake until midnight….lol Now I need to go join the Facebook group!

I have been hearing floss tubers talking about WIPGO now for a few years and thought it was something I might like to do. Going to watch the video and then making up a board.

I am a monogamous stitcher and can’t do something like this. But does sound like fun.

At least you know your limits. Some of us never seem to learn. 🙂
