Here are the first five projects I have kitted:
- Noel Sampler
- Catharine Dickenson – 1810
- For Where Your Treasure Is
- A Saviour’s Praise
- Be Kind
I know this would not have taken me the entire day if (1) I had felt better and (2) I hadn’t taken a 5 hour nap! I needed that sleep and I may or may not be able to sleep tonight, probably depends a lot on whether I take cough medicine. Last night Vince sent me downstairs to sleep in the middle of the night. He doesn’t like sleeping in the basement and I love sleeping in there. It’s so dark and so quiet. I knew he needed to get a good night’s sleep before his test today but Thursday night he said my coughing didn’t wake him but last night it did. I told him I’d sleep downstairs again tonight and we’ll see what tomorrow brings.
So . . I’ll take a few charts downstairs with me and if I don’t sleep, I’ll get up and kit projects.
Here are today’s kits:
Noel Sampler –
This is for a WIPGO project.
The fabric is 40 count Cream & Sugar by Fiber on a Whim. The floss is Vikki Clayton’s Silk.
Catharine Dickenson – 1810
This is for a WIPGO project and I already have the frame.
The fabric is 32 count Picture This Plus and the color is Heroic. I will plan it so tha tI can be stitching over some of the red and blue splotches on the fabric.
For Where Your Treasure Is:
This is a WIPGO fabric and I already have the frame.
The fabric is 40 count Angel Hair lien by Weeks. The floss on the far left is one I had to substitute. It calls for Cinnabar, which I don’t have but Tennessee Red Clay will work just fine. it will be used in those larger flowers.
A Saviour’s Praise:
This is my Good Friday/Easter Start (April 15). The fabric is Prairie Grass by Seraphim. I’m using called for Anchor floss (first time) along with four called for overdyes.
Be Kind:
This will be Sunday Stitch and it’s from the Punch Needle & Primitive Stitcher magazine.
I went downstairs and pulled the overdyed floss, then realized I had the silks already so I’ll use the silks. The fabric is 36 count Abecedarian by R & R.

I spent all day kitting, but I have about 20 kitted. I need some floss but it is all DMC so I will get that from Micheals. I have had fabric or could find something that works for all of them. What I have to get is some zippered project bags. I have maybe 5 or 6, so I am going to order some of the mesh ones from Amazon. Since I won’t be storing the fabric on qsnaps, I don’t need big bags. I would just use ziplocks but the ones I put into those today already look rough just from moving from spot to spot. I don’t keep the pattern in the bag either since I use pattern keeper, just a copy of the color key.
I hope you feel better tomorrow, and are able to get all your kits together. I think I may need some bins to keep mine in just so they can stay some what organized

I love those meshy looking bags from Amazon. That’s mostly what I use. 20 kits! You’ve done great. Is that all or do you still have more to get done?
I love those inexpesive ottomans and they’ve worked great to stick in front of the windows for Boots to sit on and look out.
Tonight I feel better than I’ve felt in three days so I’m hoping to be back to normal tomorrow.

I think I have 3 or 4 more to go. But I got lost in the middle of the mess I made, so there maybe more. I pulled a couple of “optional” projects more to make sur I had everything I would need. The down side is I got only a few stitches done, but I figured getting prepped would be a good use of time.
Ow if I could get my mind to settle and not think about other things I could kit up, I would be good.

I think kitting is always a great use of time. I get so lost when kitting. Should I use this fabric, or that fabric; switch this floss for that floss but when I’m doing a bunch at once, I tend to get it done without overthinking the process. I never took one stitch Saturday but am happy with what I got done.
