This evening I went through the orders to see what’s yet to arrive. I have two charts coming:
Spirit of Christmas, Set 1
Spirit of Christmas, Set 2
I have half yards of 40 count in 90’s Nirvana and Dolley Madison, as well as a fat quarter of 40 count in Green Acres coming from Needles and Flax.
There are also four project bags coming. I ordered these bags from The Joyful Stitching Store on Etsy. There are two Star Wars bags (one for Addie), a pink bag for my Sunday Projects and a bag with Cardinals for whatever redbird project I’ll be working on.
I ordered the Cardinal Christmas chart from Owl Forest Embroidery. I got the chart as a pdf so I already have it but I ordered the floss to go with it and it isn’t here yet, though it is already in the U.S.
Not only am I going to stop watching the flosstubes that are mostly commercials but think how much time I’ll save by not hanging out on the cross stitch shops’ websites and Etsy.
I had a subscription to Colour & Cotton floss and I loved getting the surprise each month but I don’t need any more floss so I canceled that. I think my subscription to XJu’ Fat Half Linen club will end in March and I will not renew that.
I’m in Teresa Kogut’s Patreon group and it’s paid up through August or September. I’ll make a decision then if I’m going to renew that. In the beginning, I think the charts were exclusives to Patreon members but now, after a year, she offers most of them for sale. Also, when I first joined, we could go back and get charts from previous months but now that’s changed to where the charts are taken down at the end of each month and if we want older charts, we purchase those. I understand why she did it but I’ll evaluate at the end of my subscription and see if I think it’s something I want to do.
I will keep my subscription to Punch Needle & Primitive Stitcher magazine. I love that magazine so much!
Those are my plans . . in detail . . probably way more detail than you wanted to know.

After you posted about the magazine the last time I went and got a subscription and was excited when I got my copy. I enjoy the magazine so I think I’ll be keeping it. I have only skimmed it and went online and looked at past issues. I wasn’t sure if I can freely download any designs in them. I guess I need to try and see! I haven’t checked to see where my Cardinal pattern and threads are but the two orders of thread I ordered earlier in November arrived in Chicago at the beginning of this week. I need to recheck to see if they left yet.

Yes, with a print subscription, you can download from every issue. I love it.

I’ve been thinking along the same lines of No-buy for quilting and cross stitch this year. I have a lot of charts that I love and want to stitch, but I don’t have much cross stitch fabric, so I would need to pick that up and any needed floss. As for quilts, I have so many UFOs and patterns along with the fabrics! The one magazine I love and will keep is Primitive Quilts and projects. I’ve been getting and using that one for years.
