Last night I mentioned to Vince that with the great weather we’re having, he might want to try to get the deck stained. He went to Walmart this morning to get plastic sheeting to cover the concrete under the deck. He’s blowing all that off now and I think the next step is that I will help him get it all taped down, then “we” will begin staining the deck. Vince said “We can get it done in two days because it might rain Saturday evening.
I’m thinking . . if I’m doing all that stooping and bending, we better hope we get it done in one day because tomorrow, I may be too sore to work out there. It’s almost noon and we haven’t started yet so I’m not betting we’ll get it done today.
I’d much rather be cross stitching but . . real life chores have to be done too and today and tomorrow, there will be little time for cross stitching.
But, it will be nice to have the deck done.
We’re lucky to have such great weather in early December. I suppose warm weather in December isn’t really a good thing but it’s good for the electric bill and good for finishing up some late chores.
I had taken out leftover pork crown roast from the freezer so I’ll heat that up for dinner, stick sweet potatoes in the oven to bake and put some dry beans in the pressure cooker. Dinner will be easy tonight . . the cook will be tired! 🙂

Judy, have you tried cooking your sweet potatoes in a crockpot? I wash them and lay them in the crockpot and cook on high for about 6 hours or low for 8-10 and the are nice a soft and caramelized and I don’t have to worry about burning them or that they aren’t soft enough.

I have not but I will try that. Thanks!
