Since I had Addie for a couple of nights, Nicole and Chad took the old truck out for a ride yesterday morning.
She posted this picture on Facebook.
They love taking the old truck out for a ride. Addie would be disappointed to know they took it for a ride without her but they need time alone and I’m happy to have Addie any time and she’s happy to be with us so long as she doesn’t know her parents are out having a good time without her.
Chad lost a lot of weight when he was sick. It’s really noticeable in his face.
Look at the inside of that truck – plus there’s no clock, no radio, no heat, no air, no frills. We’ve definitely come a long way with our vehicles but the good thing is that Chad can work on it. He and Nicole are always tinkering with something under the hood … and they are loving playing with it.

I was just noticing how polished the metal was behind Chad! Nice that they got out together. Couple time is precious and needed!

They don’t make anything like they used to! I know my dad was one of those that could tell you what was wrong with a car just by hearing it run. I remember helping my brother bleed the brakes on his 38 Chevy Coupe that I inherited when he passed. You don’t even do that any longer with the brakes they have now. The battery was in the floor in front of the passenger side of the seat! No back seat since it was a coupe. The seats were red and white, rolled and pleated. Beautiful old car! I love it. Wish I had to money to get it running!
