Remember those two books I bought for Addie to write in . . answer questions and then she would give them to her parents for Christmas?
The book for Chad has 50 questions. The book for Nicole has 52 questions. My plan was that she would do maybe 25 questions last night for Chad, 26 questions tonight for Nicole and we’d save the rest for when she’s here for Christmas since she’ll be here at least a week before Christmas Day.
No, as soon as she saw it, she was all excited and wanted to do ALL of both of them last night. She would come up with the answers and if she needed help with spelling a word, I’d get her to spell it the way she thought it should be spelled, then I’d help if needed.
Four hours! That was at least two hours that I kept saying to myself “I want to cross stitch!” Nope, I paid 100% attention while we spelled words together.
She did all 50 of Chad’s questions, got to number 38 of Nicole’s questions and was starting to whine and make mistakes, have to erase, get grumpy so I said “That’s enough for tonight. We can finish tomorrow!”
She cracked me up with some of her answers. She obviously, like most little girls, thinks her dad walks on water. I wanted to say “Oh, I could tell you some stories!” but I didn’t. 🙂
One one of them, it said “I am so happy that you ______.” Addie wanted to put “are alive”. Hmm . . what would your next best answer be? She thought about it and changed her mind and put something else.
