Last night I didn’t stay up late so there wasn’t as much work done on this one as I had hoped but I had to chart out our wedding date. The chart says “My Valentine 2021” and I didn’t want to put that. There were several things I thought about putting there but I thought the wedding date would be nice.
I started this in April, 2021 and that was maybe the third piece I had started. I knew I wasn’t going put My Valentine in there but hadn’t decided what I would put, but yet I stitched enough of the borders that I was limited in I could put in place of My Valentine because it could be no taller than 7 stitches. That was a problem with the “g” in August. There were some fonts that had the “g” up higher than it would normally be so I had to go with one of those or it would have touched the row beneath it. For “My Valentine”, the tail of the “y” is kinda leaning to the left but that works better for a “y” than it does for a “g” so . . it is what it is. Next time I have changes I want to make, I’ll chart those all out before I begin stitching. Live and learn, right?
I got started with the rice stitch and it’s quite fun to do. I came down as far as one diagonal row of the rice stitch to be sure the spacing was right so I didn’t have to re-do the bottom border.
It should be smooth sailing from here but . . today is Sunday so I work on the Sunday Stitch. Either today or tomorrow I have to finish Addie’s pillow because I pick her up Tuesday. She’ll be here, I’ll be cooking a lot this coming week, then Chad and Nicole will come Thursday and may spend the night Thursday night. They’ll either go home Thursday or Friday and I’ll get busy stitching on First Thanksgiving.
Thy Love Divine is back in its project bag, where it may stay for another good while.

I did this one, too! Fun stitch. Never thought to include our wedding date on it!

Had to examine your sampler section – I had done 2 of them one year and both left out the J! Did not notice until a year or so later! Nice job you are doing.

I’ve done a couple that left out a letter – often a j or a v.

I have this one to do too, and I think I will add our wedding date also. Thanks for that idea! I think the g in August looks just fine.

I don’t know why “me” is capitalized.

The rice stitch is fun! Barbara Jackson uses it a lot. It adds a subtle texture.
