This morning my main chore was to vacuum the upstairs and the stairs. Good grief . . having to vacuum the stairs is a good reason not to have stairs but then it’s hard to get a basement without stairs and those pesky tornadoes . . I’ll vacuum the stairs and be thankful I have a basement.
As I was vacuuming, I kept giggling thinking if I worked in a hotel and was vacuuming, the boss would probably say . . go back and do that carpet again and do a better job. I’m usually not one to halfway do a job and not do my best but hey . . I’ll vacuum again on Tuesday so whatever I missed this morning, I’ll get it then right? All I wanted to do was sit down for 25 minutes and stitch.
Vince was downstairs (still is) watching a race and I wanted to stitch for 25 minutes before he was back up. I’m thinking . . we haven’t been to town in days . . well, I haven’t been to town since I think Tuesday when we went to the doctor, had to go to Walmart to get an Rx and then went to Hobby Lobby for floss. Vince went Wednesday and Thursday but . . he skipped Friday and Saturday. Wait .. none of that is true. We went back to town on Wednesday to go to Fox Farm and Food 4 Less. OK . . I wanted to cross stitch and I don’t want to go to town for any reason. I know that much is true! 🙂
I’m wondering . . he loved the soup. Would he love it again today . . two days in a row. Probably not. I wonder if he’d like to fast all day today. Probably not. I think I’m going to have to cook.
Stitching for 25 minutes is good. I got 20 of those little rice stitch squares done. I think there are at least 1500 of them to do. At 20 per day, I can get them done in three months. I’m sure I’ll do more than 25 minutes on this project some days but when you think that I started this in April and it’s now November, what’s three more months?
These little rice stitches are so fun to make. Except that I skipped working on my Sunday Stitch last Sunday, I’d probably do it again today and make more rice stitches.

There are two of you and a cat. How many times a week do you vacuum? I wait to vacuum until Saturday night, hoping that my hubby is then finished with the yard work, walking in and out, bringing leaves and dirt over the doorstep.

There’s dust and a dog too. I vacuum every other day.

Those rice stitches look good! I like the idea of stitching for 25 minutes a day on a particular project. I’m not sure I can put something down and pick up another one. I’ll have to try it and see how it goes. I’ve been working on the Veteran’s Day start and need to get back to the other one I was doing. Perhaps my Land of the Free can be the 25 minutes a day project. I don’t like vacuuming stairs either! Usually my son or husband does it but I do it in a pinch.
