Recently I mentioned a couple of problems I’ve had with online shops. I always felt crafty type shops were more dependable, on average, than some other types of shops but I’m beginning to wonder and I’m being much more careful where I shop.
I have not and will not mention the names of the two that I’ve had problems with and still have my credit card on one and paypal on one doing their “investigation” so I can get a refund.
I’m saying all this because if you’re needing cross stitch supplies, I highly recommend Kitten Stitcher. She’s a one woman show. She loves going off to retreats. She closes her online shop when she goes out of town, gets too far behind or has too much going on so if you’re ordering something and you want it yesterday, order it from somewhere else but . . she has the largest selection of linen consistently than any of the other shops I frequent. Also, at least every time I’ve had an order outstanding, she gets all the orders out before she closes the shop.
I ordered linen back in October and I waited and waited and it didn’t come and all my other orders from her arrived so I went back to check the tracking and apparently the post office keyed it all in wrong. Theresa, the Kitten Stitcher, checked with her local post office and asked me to give it a few more days, which is fine because we all know I’m not out of linen yet. And then she said this:
Thanks for your patience. I always make things right for people.
There are a lot of shops that do not feel that way. Too many these days feel like once they hand it off to the post office, they’re done. On one hand, I can understand that because then they’re out the money if they re-send your package but on the other hand, if I can shop with someone who has most everything I want and has that kind of commitment to customers, I’ll be shopping with her.
You know how frustrated I get with flosstubes and blogs that are commercials for folks who are sending them free things. Rest assured I’m getting nothing in return for this little blurb. I will say that she sometimes sends a really cool sticker with your order and for those of us who like adding stickers to our Book of Days, they’re perfect little gifts!

I checked her website and noted that she has a warning message to be patient with her since she has 600+ orders this week. That’s a lot for a one-woman shop. I found a few gift items as well as a kit, but I stepped away since I have so many projects already started. I may go back to get the gift items…..

She ALWAYS has something going on. She keeps her shop hopping but I would imagine that most everyone who orders from her now expects the delays and since we have plenty of other things to work on, we’re ok.
She has 600 orders to ship because yesterday she released her advent collection and there was a limited number — 600 . . and it sold out almost immediately.
