After the freeze, the tops of the tomato plants shriveled up and died but there were still lots of tomatoes, mostly green, that were under the canopy of the thick vines so they were a bit protected.
That’s a 6 gallon bucket almost totally full of tomatoes. I sure hate to see those go . . we’ve enjoyed them so much.
I’m going to make more tomato relish . . probably tomorrow.
In six months or so, we’ll have more tomatoes planted so, once these are gone, til then I’ll have to dream of fresh, vine ripened tomatoes.
