I try to find gifts for Addie to give her parents for Christmas. Hopefully I’ll be able to take Addie to the mall where there’s Bath & Body Works, T. J. Maxx and other places she can find gifts for them but I saw these books on Amazon and thought they would make great gifts if I can get her to fill them out. I’m going to show them to her and we’ll talk about them. If she shows an interest, she can start filling them out. If not, I’ll put them aside and save them for next year and probably lose them! Maybe I’ll put them with the cookie molds. By the way, at least once a month, I look at those cookie molds to make sure I know where they are. It won’t be long til I can start making Christmas cookies.
Here’s what a couple of the inside pages look like on the Mom book. I didn’t open the Dad book.
I would cherish something like this and I know Chad and Nicole will too.
Addie and I are going to make a candle for Nicole and for her teacher. We talked about something for Chad and I cannot remember what it was but I’m sure Addie will remember.

This is probably the greatest gift a parent could receive! Written in their child’s own hand. I would cherish this forever also! We still have the hand mold that Pat’s daughter Mechaele did when she was about 6. She was 7 when she died. Parents keep things like that. Alicia will cherish this also. She has some memories of her big sister.

“Maybe I’ll put them with the cookie molds…” You gave me my first laugh of the day! Thanks!

I watch those cookie molds like a hawk. After having had them missing for so long, I fully expect them to disappear just before I need them! 🙂
