Yesterday Jo sent me a note about a new floss tube, Needle & Flax. My friends get me in so much trouble. I had to go right then and watch it.
Jo had mentioned that she showed lots of pretty samplers. She did – quite a few Hands Across the Sea Samplers and I succumbed. At about the 2 minute mark, she showed Marion Horsburgh by Hands Across the Sea. It’s so small and so bright and I loved it so . . I bought it. I downloaded it and it’s already set up in Pattern Keeper. It willl probably become a Sunday Stitch.
At about the 10 minute point, she showed something she was working on that was stitched on her own linen that she sells at Needle & Flax. She has gorgeous linens and she uses only the Zwiegart base.
When I first started ordering supplies before I ever took a stitch, I ordered 40 count linen. Almost all the very first linens were 40 count but there weren’t many of those. Then I started liking 36 count better so for the better part of this year, I’ve ordered mostly 36 count but now I seem to be loving 40 count more so I ordered a few pieces of 40 count linen from Needle & Flax.
I’ll share pictures when they arrive. She seems like a very nice lady and I’ll be happy to support her when I need linen. Need . . want . . whatever! 🙂

They really don’t waste a lot of time because I watch them in the background while stitching.

Ohhh another to watch ;). I love having them on in the background. I even had them playing on my phone whilel I drove back from Texas last week. Made the 9.5 hour trip pass quickly. Then when I got home I was able to skip to the parts I thought I “needed” to watch and note the chart!
Do you use one or two strands over 2 on 36?
