Love Your Family Progress

You know I love this project because I haven’t put it down to work on other projects except for my Sunday Stitch and I haven’t done that every Sunday.

I started this project on October 3 so in 29 days, I’ve stitched 10,740 stitches. On average, that’s about 370 stitches per day. I was a few days into this project when I mastered the sewing stitch.

There were a few days, probably 3 or 4, when I got zero stitches made, there were days when Addie was here and I got fewer stitches done, there were days I went to town for a quick trip that turned into a long day of shopping. I got the flu shot and felt horrible for about 5 days but I still did some stitching. Basically . . there’s a life besides cross stitch, and that’s fine. Yesterday I stitched 721 stitches. I’m really still so surprised at how much faster I’m stitching with the sewing method.

All I have left to do are two trees, three flowers, a man and woman, a small wreath like thing and a couple of birds.

I would like to think I can get the trees and three flowers done today; get the man and woman stitched on Wednesday, the wreath and bird and a bit of outline stitching done on Thursday and this piece will be finished!

I had hoped to finish it by 11/3 but even if it takes through Friday, I’ll be happy.

The frame is ordered and I can’t wait to get this piece framed and on the wall.
