Sunday Jeremy sent me a message and suggested I bake a cake for the solar panels. On his Facebook memory, it had shown up that they were being turned on that day . . I think it was six years ago.
I told him . . No! I was on my way to take Addie back to her parents and still had green beans to can so the solar panels would have to do without a birthday cake. I think Jeremy wanted me to bake a cake and bring some to him!
Well .. Tuesday I asked Vince how much power the solar panels had put out so far in October, knowing it was fixing to start raining for a few days and the end of the month is almost here. He checked and they’ve stopped communicating with us. I guess I should have baked them a birthday cake! 🙂
I sent Jeremy this message last night:
Next year I will bake a cake for the solar panels and probably buy a gift – something cross stitch related maybe. Think they would like that? I must have made them mad and they have stopped communicating with us. They sure get their feelings hurt easily! The guy from Rich Hill who put them in for you is supposed to be here in the morning to speak their language and explain to them that we really are nice people and from this day forward, I WILL bake a birthday cake for them!
Whatever’s wrong with them is under warranty but getting parts seems to be a very, very, very lengthy process these days. The installer said they’re still producing power, it’s still being reported to the electric company but something is wrong since we can’t see what they’re doing.
He said he does have some spare parts and he’ll bring what he thinks it is we need but if that isn’t it, we could be in for a long wait. So glad it isn’t something essential to survival that’s not working and out of stock.

Maybe you should make the solar repair man a cake…you might get the parts really fast.

That is out of his hands. He orders them and has no control over when they arrive.
