I’ve spent so much time in the kitchen the past few days and have hardly had any time to cross stitch. Addie mostly entertains herself. She loves to draw and color and work on her diamond painting she has going on here so I can’t blame the lack of cross stitching on her . . except for the trips to get her and bring her home.
I spent the better part of three days last week canning green beans and making the green tomato relish, which Vince thinks is so much better than pickle relish. I’ve never been able to make decent pickles or pickle relish so I’m glad he likes the green tomato relish. I need to decide if I want to make more relish or something else with the green tomatoes I picked. I don’t need more than a year’s worth of relish and I think I have about 9 pints but at the rate we’re going through the first pint, I may need more before I have green tomatoes to harvest next year.
This morning I got most of the last batch of beans snapped, finished them up after meeting Chad and Nicole with Addie, got those canned. I’ve been wanting focaccia so I made that.
The green beans are done and out of the canner. I’m going to sit and cross stitch now. It’s Sunday and in theory, I should work on my Sunday project but I’ve gotten a bit behind on Love Your Family and since I have a deadline, I’m going to work on that the rest of the day. Maybe if I can get a huge amount of stitching done on Love Your Family this week, I can work on my Sunday project Saturday and Sunday next weekend.
It’s Halloween and Addie has things going on next weekend so she wont be here.

Looks like you’ve been busy! We were supposed to have a bad storm today also and it did get very windy and rainy. We did manage a walk though when the sun came out for a little bit; it looks like more rain is on its way soon.

Our storm totally fizzled but that’s ok. Glad you were able to get a walk in!
