Victoria Clayton’s website is Hand Dyed Fibers. I can never remember that but I can always remember Victoria Clayton so I just google that and it comes right up.
I’m not trying to be a commercial for her but . . I just love these little bobbins of silk floss. They make me happy. They’re 8.7 yards of 6 stranded floss for $3.50 each. If you’re using “fancy floss” or overdyes, most of that is 5 yards of 6 stranded floss in the $2.50 each range. That makes Victoria Clayton’s .40/yard and overdyes .50/yard (if my math is correct which it probably isn’t!) so . . why not buy silks. Right?
On the her website, Victoria Clayton has a conversion from DMC to her silks. It is super easy to use and she probably has every DMC color except maybe the very newest ones.
My advice is this (not that anyone asked) – find a chart that has a few colors, order the conversion and see how you like her floss. Her shipping is $4, which I think is reasonable.

I have quite a few VC Silks on spools from when she first started dyeing again but haven’t used them yet. They’re so pretty. I’ve been struggling on how to store them so I just went back and ordered 10 of the boxes you posted about a few posts back. A friend has twisted my arm to join in on #laurasbigbirthdaysal (IG hashtag) for Laura Duets birthday.

VC has a packet of those silks. I have the chart ordered but it isn’t here yet so I’ll be stitching that one along with you.

I picked up my Erica Michaels’ Always Thankful yesterday. I noticed another chart that “I think this will get my daughter-in-law back into stitching”, so I bought it too. Just standing in one spot I saw too many temptations! “I am a quilter”, she kept repeating as she left the shop!! How will I ever get it all completed? Used? ahahahhahah
