I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again . . especially if you have little ones on your Christmas gift list, please don’t wait til the last minute to order or even go to the store for the gifts. Things may be in stock, prices may be fine but . . things are crazy. If you buy the stuff now, you won’t even have to worry about it.
We don’t have a lot of gifts that we buy. Mostly we don’t buy gifts for each other except I almost always do. I can’t not! You know what I got for Vince. It’s here. Addie’s bike is here. That’s the gift from her parents but they shipped it here. We got her a Baby Zoda Lego set and a doll. She wanted this doll back during the summer. It was a Walmart doll . . not terribly expensive. I already had her birthday gift so I got it for her and have held it for Christmas and now, I’m not even sure she’s playing with dolls!
She plays on the piano all the time. Chad tries to teach her a bit. They haven’t found anyone local who teaches piano lessons so, without lessons, she’s probably not going to learn but I saw a kalimba on Etsy and ordered her this one.
I could see her liking this. It wasn’t expensive. I bought it here. I’ve ordered several stocking stuffer things from Etsy that I mentioned before – pencils, stickers and something else I can’t remember.
This Sun Print Paper kit looks like fun though I may save that for summer.
I’m done with shopping for everyone. When Nicole and Chad are here for Thanksgiving, we’ll get the tree out of the attic (or Nicole will!) and we’ll decorate it and I can start wrapping packages. I’m so ready for the holidays . . and it’s not even mid-October. Last year Vince wasn’t here for Christmas so this will be the first Christmas in a very long time that all of us have been together.

Being all together for Christmas – how wonderful for you!!! Our kids and grandkids will all be here for Christmas Day this year. It’s been a couple of years since that has happened, so I’m excited. My girls both work in health care, so often work on holidays. And who knows what winter weather will happen here in SD. So my fingers are crossed that it works out.

I hate that your girls often have to work on holidays but am very thankful for those folks who do give up time with their families to be there when we need them.
I can only imagine what SD weather could be like that time of year. Hope it all works out for you all to be together.
