Yesterday was busy! Vince tried throwing out grass seeds and straw but the wind was blowing everything away. Not sure it’s going to be any better today but we have a storm coming in tonight so he really wants to get the new dirt covered in straw.
I felt normal again so I guess the problems with the flu shot wore off.
We went to Addie’s game, blew our diets by eating hamburgers at the new Freddy’s in Nevada.

It’s kind of a sentimental thing to eat Freddy’s burgers because for several years, on our way back to Texas from Missouri, we’d pull into a church parking lot that had a covered drive thru area, probably for letting people off during the rain or snow. Vince would run next door to Freddy’s and get our burgers and fries and we’d sit in the car, with Rita and eat. Rita had her food .. we had ours.
We’ll never eat at Freddy’s without thinking about those many burgers and fries we ate in the car in Mustang, OK.
We could have storms tonight around midnight so I stripped the basement bed last night and we’ll sleep down there tonight so hopefully we’ll sleep through whatever happens. They’re saying hail, thunder, can’t rule out an isolated tornado. The basement is the best place to be. I said that (about the basement) . . the authorities didn’t say that but you know I look for any excuse to sleep in the basement.
Additions:
Nothing!
Cooking:
I made breakfast. Cooked the bacon in the microwave because the grout still isn’t sealed, then cooked the eggs slowly in a skillet. Eggs don’t usually make a greasy mess but I surely didn’t want grease flying today.
Videos I Watched:
No videos.
Stitching:
I thought I’d get a lot of cross stitching done after the game but didn’t get a lot done. Because I had cross stitched like a crazy woman before the game, I did get my 450+ stitches in yesterday.
Knitting:
Yesterday on the way to and from Nevada, I knitted on my car project. That was close to two hours of knitting. I’ll share pictures in a later post today.
Plans for Today:
Cook. I have a chuck roast out. I always make it the day before, then put it in the fridge overnight for the grease to get hard and I can scrape it off. I’ll get that cooked today so tomorrow, should we not have power, all I have to do is heat it up on the gas stove. Yay for the gas stove! 🙂
Of course, get the sheets washed, dried and back on the bed downstairs.
I don’t know if Vince will want help but I’ll help him with the straw if he wants me to.
Otherwise . . stitching and maybe a bit of knitting.
