As you know, because I’ve said it 10 times, I was going to Addie’s game. Vince had said he wasn’t going because of college football. Really, Vince? 🙂
I was fine with him not going. I planned on leaving the house about 1:15.
About 11:30, Vince said “I think I’ll go with you!” I said “You can’t! Addie bike is being delivered today and so is your Christmas gift!” After our visitor coming twice, though it’s been several months since his last visit, I don’t like packages being left on the porch . . especially a bicycle and the other package.
Vince said “I’ll see if the neighbor will watch for the Fed Ex truck and put the packages in the garage.” I told him that I could take my phone to the game and it would let me know when the Fed Ex truck came and I would call her so she didn’t have to keep watching the house.
My phone told me Fed Ex was here so I called the neighbor, she came over and put the packages in the garage. I knew because my phone told me that also! 🙂
When we got home, I told Vince, drop me off, open the garage door, DO NOT turn in the driveway and do not look towards the garage. I walked up, put a sheet over the package, re-arranged some of the stuff in the garage to get it out of the way so we could get the car in the garage.
All is well with that. When Vince went to get the garage door opener, the neighbor said “By the way, I know what you’re getting for Christmas!” I better be nice to her so she doesn’t tell! 🙂
Anyway, I came in the house. Vince went to get the garage door opener. I took Rita out. She peed and pooped. I came in and fed her. I went to the bedroom to change my clothes, then I went down to see Boots. I came back up and Vince said “I took Rita out and she didn’t do anything but I fed her.” I said “I took her out and she did both her jobs and I fed her.” He went back to see if she had eaten all her second helping. Yep! She did. She was probably thinking . . those people are being awfully generous with the food this evening!”
