Have you ever thought about how our expectations evolve? I do something a couple of times and it becomes a habit.
Before I became proficient at cross stitching with the sewing stitch, I was happy to get 200 stitches done per day.

The first day, I did 708 stitches.

The second day I did 663 stitches.
Yesterday, I didn’t even take a picture but I only did 524 stitches. I thought, since I was working on the house, using only one color, I’d get a lot more done. I didn’t and I was kinda disappointed.
After only two days of getting a ton of stitches done, I though I’d accomplish that much every day. The reality, at least for now, is that I stitched more than twice as many stitches as I usually do but I was expecting to do more.
I’m not complainig, am happy with what I got done but I thought it was funny that my expectations have already jumped to far above what I was happy with just a few days ago.

That is amazing how much you have improved. I hadn’t stopped by for a few days and when I did, I was pleasantly surprised with your progress.
