Yesterday I did more housekeeping than I normally do in a day but the family room, dining room, kitchen and both upstairs bathrooms are clean. I had cleaned in our bedroom Friday so it’s good. The breakfast room is a disaster because so much stuff is out of the kitchen and in there but I’m not worried about that til Vince gets the grout done and I can put things back in the kitchen. He may do the grout today.
A grocery order was delivered from Walmart but it wasn’t much. I got several cases of quart jars but the only groceries I got was milk, celery, carrots, parsley, cilantro . . that may be all I got. At least it was easy to put away.
The concrete guy came back to cut the lines in the concrete – I don’t know what you call it – the lines so if it cracks, it cracks along those lines. Vince and I were eating and started hearing a loud noise and we thought it was a neighbor blowing off their driveway, then it got louder and we thought it was the guy behind us doing something, then it got even louder and we realized it was the concrete guy and he was getting closer to the house each time the noise got louder.
Additions:
Nothing. And this is just about stitching/hobbies. I don’t include things like tennis shoes, outdoor (or indoor but I don’t think there will be any of that) furniture, etc.
Cooking:
I made the prime rib and zucchini with onions. Today we’ll have the leftover prime rib and probably steamed broccoli.
Videos I Watched:
Stitching:
Another hour of stitching and I would have finished Addie’s pumpkin. Vince stayed up til midnight and though I could have stayed up later, I went to bed when he did.
I think all I have left to do is finish the second half of the border stitches that aren’t done, fill in the orange in every other border shape, finish the mouse and fill in the eyes. That should be less than a couple of hours of work.
Plans for Today:
Since we’re having leftovers and the house is fairly straight, maybe I can stitch more today. I don’t think we’re going anywhere. As far as I know no one is coming here. We’ll see . .

The concrete guy was saw cutting expansion joints. I hope he used some water to keep the fugitive dust down. I am a quilter, seamstress, counted cross stitcher that works in construction.

This guy is great and knows what he’s doing. Vince’s father had a concrete business in New York and Vince is most impressed with the guy. Vince worked in this father’s business for many years and Vince said this guy is one of the best he’s seen in many years.
