Today I had a bit of stitching time and I’ll stitch more tonight but this little guy is so funny. Maybe I have a weird imagination but right now, he looks like a jack-o-lantern with spider legs and a black sailor hat on. Does anyone else see this?
The “sailor hat” is the bottom of the cat (I almost typed “hat”). No, I haven’t been drinking wine but I kinda wouldn’t mind that.
I’m going to do some stitching on that right bottom side and get rid of those spider legs. Maybe I’ll even get enough done on the cat that it starts to look like a cat.
I had a nice little chat today with Jo from Jo’s Country Junction. I’m always whining to Jo and Denise about how slow my stitching goes. Jo encouraged me to try to perfect my sewing stitch method and shared a video with me (Stitching With the Housewives). I’m watching it and practicing. I figured this is a good practice project. We’ll see how it goes.

This is the video I learned the sewing stitch from. I am a very slow stitcher and this helped alot. My current project is on black aida (never again!) and I’m just as slow as can be because I’m not able to do the sewing stitch and I have to have certain light to be able to do it at all!

You may already know this but I saw that someone puts a white towel behind their work when using black. Not sure if it was just in their lap but something behind the black. I have black but have been afraid to use it.
