Yesterday in Review – September 26, 2021

I did a post last night that pretty much sums up how yesterday went. I forget how things go during college football season. I don’t mind at all but Vince is right upstairs with me so much of the time but during football season, he’s downstairs every minute there’s a game on . . if it’s a team he likes. He really did spend almost all day downstairs watching the came. He came upstairs at 2:00 and said “The next game starts at 2:30. Can we eat before then?” Hmmm .. it’s just leftover chicken but I needed to chop onion and pepper, clean a tomato, cucumber and cut up some cheese. Thank goodness I had already boiled some eggs. Yes. Dinner was on the table about 2:20. He ate very quickly and went back downstairs.

When I got back with Addie, she asked here he was. I told her he was downstairs watching TV. She yelled down for him but he didn’t answer. I yelled down and he didn’t answer. I said “Was his truck here when we got home?” We went outside to see. Yes. We decided maybe he was in the shop (like . . the game was over!) so we walked out there. Addie said “Granny, I’m starting to worry that someone took him!” We came back in the house and she said “Go downstairs with me and let’s investigate. We walked down and there he was . . in his chair. I told him . . we were looking for you. He had been in the bathroom when we yelled down for him and he didn’t hear us. I’m still laughing that Addie thought someone took him. I wanted to say . . don’t worry. They will bring him back.

Additions:

I always hate to say I didn’t order anything because the days kinda run together. I don’t think I ordered anything yesterday.

Cooking:

I did make breakfast yesterday and I stirred up the chicken salad for lunch. Not much cooking but no one went hungry.

Videos I Watched:

There is a book made into a movie (50’s maybe) about a little boy so bad that was taken and then they paid to return him. Addie might get a laugh reading it and referring it to Vince. I believe a Dennis the Menace movie was made with the same idea.

Twyla, is the book “The Ransom of Red Chief” by O. Henry? I remember that one was a book and a movie. Very Cute.

I’m going to quit cooking during football season. I just waited 20 minutes to eat because some dumb game was in overtime.
