Yesterday was Monday and it was a very . . not busy, not crazy but unusual for us kind of Monday. We were busy from the time we got up til we went to bed. I rode with Vince to Lowe’s not once, not twice, but three times. It was nice to be in the car, away from the chores. The kitchen is such a terrible disaster. It frustrates me to even walk through there. The stove is in the middle of the floor so that I can’t get to the cabinet that holds the plates, bowls and saucers, nor can I get to the drawer that holds the silverware. I needed to unload the dishwasher and put dishes it but I couldn’t put away the dishes so I took out enough to get us through the day, added the dirty ones in with the clean ones and . . hit “start”. Bad Judy! It was mostly dishes from snacks and glasses because we didn’t eat a meal at home yesterday.
Everything that was on the counter – half gallon jars I use to hold things I use often – grits, cornmeal, grain I grind — all on the table. Grain mill . . on the table. Tomatoes piled up because I haven’t . . it isn’t that I haven’t had time, it’s that the kitchen is in use with the tile project – everything had to be moved to the table or to the counter around the sink and anywhere I go in there, I’m in the way. We got breakfast out and ate it in the car. When we were out another time, Vince said . . do you want to pick up dinner and bring it home? No. There’s no place to eat. So, we got it to go and ate it in the car. Hurry up Wednesday.
Did I stitch anything? No! Did I sew Harvest Tina into a pillow? No!
The three charts I ordered from Italy did arrive and they are so, so pretty. I don’t know why I threw that in there . . probably because I’d rather start one of those than work on A Changed World. I’m so bad. I’ll never do a stitch along again.
The Amish guys came and put the gutters on the shop. We stayed out and watched that. I asked them if I could take a picture and they said ok.
Every time we need something done around here, I’m thankful for the Amish and the Mennonites and their work ethic.
Additions:
Because it has to be someone else’s fault that I do things I shouldn’t do .. this is Vince’s fault. What’s a girl to do when sitting in the car in the parking lot at Lowe’s for the third time in one day? Look at 123Stitch! I ordered this piece of Lakeside Linen. It’s kinda yellow and it looks like Lakeside’s Butter Cream linen, which isn’t easy to find. I’ll probably always order any piece of Lakeside or R&R Linen I find that isn’t tan and is 36 count.
I also ordered Lady Halloween. I love that there aren’t many colors and I love how the letters are all over the place . . not in a line.
Then, we got home and I was ready to start Harvest Tina’s pillow but didn’t have the rick rack I wanted so I ordered it from Lady Dot Creates. So, that’s on hold til the rick rack arrives.
Cooking:
No.
Videos I Watched:
No videos.
Stitching:
No stitching.
Plans for Today:
If Vince continues to work on the tile, I’ll be the tile guy’s helper and that’s all I’ll get done but some days are like that and this is all happening due to the gas stove arriving hopefully tomorrow so I am not complaining at all.

Oh why did I look at Lady Halloween? Why? It makes me want to learn to cross stitch.

Where we live in CA near Yosemite. The Brethern live in our town and they too are very reliable and honest when they do work for you….I can not say enough how great they are….

I’ve never heard of The Brethren but sounds like they’re great to have nearby too.
