Interruptions in the Night

Last night I went to bed too late, as usual. I had hardly gone to sleep when the alarm went off on my phone that there was motion at the back garage. That was at 2:37 a.m. I could hear thunder so I figured it was the storm blowing things around. I put the phone down and the same thing happened again as soon as I put it down. Motion . . I’m not too concerned about motion.

Went back to sleep and it went off again at 3:01 a.m. but this time it said Human at Back Garage. I woke Vince and I said “Vince! There’s someone at the back garage.” He said “Our garage?” No . . I’m waking you up because there’s someone at the neighbor’s garage! I didn’t say that but I wanted to.

In my mind, human at the back garage means someone has one foot in the door and we’re about to be abducted or worse. In Vince’s mind, it means the storm made a shadow look like a human so just go back to sleep. No . . we’re investigating!

I didn’t have my glasses on and neither did Vince but we didn’t even take the time to look at the video, we just went to check it out. No one was there. I think it was the storm blowing stuff around. Don’t ask me why it was “motion” twice and “Human” once but it took us a long time to go back to sleep after that.

Tonight, I’m hoping for a clear night with no wind and no rain, and no alarms going off. I almost took a nap today but figured it was best to stay awake and hopefully get to bed at a decent hour and get a good night’s sleep.
